Beloved Caress
Beloved Caress is a ring in Baldur’s Gate 3 that only works when paired with the ring “Beloved Embrace”.
Where to Find
Both rings must be found in the western part of the Shadow-Cursed Lands location.

Beloved Caress
In Baldur’s Gate 3, the ring “Beloved Caress” is found on a skeleton lying under a large tree in the cemetery near the House of Healing. There is also a pit filled with skulls nearby.
If you pass the perception check, the skeleton will light up, making it easier to find among the gravestones.

Beloved Embrace
Meanwhile, “Beloved Embrace” is located in the House of Healing on the first floor in the room with Nurse Sinda.
Between two beds, there will again be a skeleton lying on a mattress. You will likely come to this place in search of a lyre to awaken Art Cullagh.
From the journals found, you can learn about the difficult fate of two lovers who carried their feelings throughout their lives.
How it Works
As mentioned earlier, the ability will only work if both rings are worn by characters in the same party. After that, the hero wearing “Beloved Embrace” gains the spell “Tender Protective Ties”.
This spell can only be used on the wearer of the “Beloved Caress” ring in Baldur’s Gate 3. If you target another party member, the game will remind you of the necessary condition.
Effects
- Target (the person on whom the spell is used):
- +1 to Armor Class.
- Increased resistance to spells and conditions.
- 50% less damage taken.
- Caster (the person who uses the spell):
- Receives the same amount of damage as the target.
The effect lasts until a long rest, and appears as follows:
A similar spell can also be obtained without the rings if in act 3 of the game you kill Viconia DeVir and take the legendary shield “Viconia’s Walking Fortress” from her body.
Value
The value of such a duo of accessories is quite situational, as the caster will take damage along with the ally.
If the battle is prolonged, for example, with a serious boss, a huge number of survivability issues may arise.
